Quinn Makenna was born in Windsor, Ontario and grew up with an active mind, always imagining possible scenarios and how certain occurrences would play out. There was no choice then but to write “The King of Ithaca” once the idea forced its way into that mind. Quinn merely recorded in writing what was playing, scene by scene, before his eyes. The lack of formal training in writing didn’t stop him, nor did the number of literary agents and publishers that passed on the manuscript. And the writing keeps going, even if only those close to Quinn end up reading it.
